System description:
The material to be sifted is conveyed to a sifting room by an acceleration belt whose speed can be adjusted. An air flow whose quantity and direction can be controlled flows through the discharge parabola immediately after leaving the belt conveyor, throwing large-surface particles with a low weight to the rear area of the sifter where they are deposited on the light-material collection belt and transported out of the sifter. Heavy and massive parts fall onto the heavy-material collection belt in the front area of the sifter.
The separating vertex which can be adjusted by motors allows a corresponding adaptation of the separating cut between the heavy and light material according to the requirements.
The required air flow is generated by a radial fan. To keep the air flow to be dedusted as low as possible, the blown-in air is sucked again in the rear area of the sifting room by the radial fan, i.e. operation on the basis of circulating air. A part of the sucked air is supplied to the dedusting unit, keeping the sifting room in vacuum and largely preventing the dust from escaping.
